This artwork represents the beauty created by the ocean - the shapes and textures of the seashells and the bubbles and patterns left on the sand as the tide goes out. Our footprints are only temporary until the sea works her magic once more and wipes the canvas clean for us to see yet another work of ocean art.

This artwork represents the pikki palms - the sheath of the leaf was used to make containers for storing a valuable liquid made from water and honey to sustain the energy of women and children out gathering food. The women would also weave baskets or make shelters using the top part of the leaves. Aboriginal people firmly believe that everything needed in life is provided by the motherland in abundance and so they would find a use for all parts of the plant or animal.
