Located on the top floor of a beachside apartment on the Gold Coast, Penthouse 142 dances the line between a coastal family home and high-end luxury. The Kira & Kira design team worked to bring a calming sense of refinement and sophistication into its interiors, resulting in a true oceanside escape.
Natural light flows through the entire home, bringing a sense of openness to this two-storey penthouse apartment. Being home to a young family, the interiors are engrained with colourful bursts of personality and finished with a knowing elegance that only enhances its beachside charm.

What was the design brief for this project?
A warm and inviting contemporary coastal abode
When curating the selections, was there a particular piece you just had to have in this home?
I always aim to bring a bold piece into a client's space, for this project it was our beautiful linen Sloopy Sofa in a deep blue hue.
What's your favourite room in this home and why?
The media room is my favourite, I love the blue sofa with the touches of ivory boucle and terracotta, and the hues draw subtle Mediterranean vibes.
