"About this time of year I’m usually skipping winter and painting in Bali for 2 months - but of course this year’s different - in every way. So here I am freezing my butt off on the Mornington Peninsula channeling all things tropical into my latest series. They’re a mix of coastal foliage, my favourite tropical fruit, and little quirks that are just my own from happy childhood holidays." - Geo

GEO + KIRA & KIRA EXHIBITION

day tripping

100 x 100 Framed Vic Ash

$3,300

SOLD

There’s nothing like packing the car and heading to the beach. Here I’m dreaming of tropical colours and textures, surrounded by beachy foliage. There’s something about a day trip that re-energises your soul.

duniper

120 x 140 Framed Vic Ash

$4,900

SOLD

I made up this word for this painting! It seems right somehow.
This piece turns my limbs liquid - I can feel them melting into warm sand dunes - my toes digging in. I love this golden foliage and my beloved rattan floating amongst sweet pops of energetic colour.

cloud break

160 x 130

Framed Vic Ash

$5,100

SOLD

When my surfer heads to the beach - it’s his very own personal cloud break. No matter what the situation, the energy changes. He changes. This one has pieces of towel texture, my fave rattan from my grand- mas’s sun lounges. It’s all about good energy, and upbeat holiday vibes.

hello sunshine

150 x 150cm

Framed Vic Ash

$5,100

SOLD

‘Hello Sunshine’ It’s the first thing I think when I head out to the beach. This one’s a reminder to connect with nature. See the beautiful colours - soak up the happy. Switch off and enjoy the here and now. Feel the sunshiney warmth on your skin. See what’s right in front of you.

pineapple disco

100 x 100 Framed Vic Ash

$3,300

This one’s an ode to the Pineapple lady who wanders along the beach in Bali. I close my eyes and I can feel that zing of the fruit - like a pineapple disco. The numbers are from a telegraph pole where we stay every year, our holiday haven surround- ed by fragrant flowers.

pool time

100 x 180 Framed Vic Ash

$5,100

SOLD

If I ever needed some pool time it’s now. Brilliant blue pool time. My grandfather spent a lot of time in Malaysia in the 60’s and there were lots of incredible retro Asian tropical paintings on the walls at my gran’s house - all with foliage in these ochre and magenta hues. Here I am reflecting again on childhood memories and warmth of simple memories.
