The Kira House on Open Homes Australia
That's a Wrap!
What a pleasure it has been to work with this talented group of people. We often get asked if the filming for the show has been a stressful experience - oddly enough, it was the easiest part! With many laughs, familiar faces and a great team to work with, the entire experience felt like a breeze.
As for the build... we had the complete opposite experience! It was incredibly stressful, lots of blood, sweat and tears. However, we made it! We are beyond excited to share the completed Kira House with you all.
It has been an incredible journey, one we will never forget. To all of our friends, tradies, suppliers, the film crew and everyone else who helped along the way - a massive thank you! We couldn't have done this without our team and we are beyond grateful.
To all those at home who have been following the journey, we are itching to share a sneak peek of The Kira House. A little reveal will be airing at the end of Open Homes Australia's final episode this week. The segment will be a taste of what's to come in Ready Set Reno airing in February and March.

We feel so lucky to have a commission by one of our dearest friends Tania Blanchard hanging in the entry of Kira House! This piece sets the mood for the interior that follows and captures the colours and energy perfectly... Light, bright with pops of tan, green, blue and blush. The composition of the 'Transcendent' series reminds us of breeze blocks and mid-century architecture so it was the perfect piece to hang in our entryway.
It was an emotional journey with the unveiling of our commission by the gorgeous Daisy Hill. This piece is incredibly special as it represents Simone, Grason, West & Chilli and is named Kira Banyandah meaning Kira home on the water.
"Kira Banyandah is custom painted in colours inspired by your home. The four circles represent you as a family. You appear as drops in the water and your ripples span for eternity just like your love.”
The talented Georgie Wilson implementing Palm Spring vibes into The Kira House with this stunning commission. Georgie has combined our landscaping and exterior design with the interior colour palette - the perfect piece to hang front and centre in our living space.
Continue to follow @thekirahouse for more reveals of the completed project. You'll be able to watch our renovation journey from start to finish when Ready Set Reno goes to air soon!
