"I’m lucky to often say, ‘Let’s go to the beach.’ I love fossicking, snorkelling, and collecting shells, colours, and textures—small treasures that become part of my creative process. I keep little jars filled with pieces I’ve found or my boys have discovered. I paint from memory and feeling, starting with translucent oil layers and building up rich texture and detail, even incorporating sand from the beach. This piece captures the movement, colour, and ever-changing beauty of the ocean—pure joy."
