Join us on our latest styling journey! Kira & Kira were thrilled to partner with Baya Living to style an exclusive feature for est living.

Tailoring our craft to showcase The Art of Layered Living Spaces, we styled Baya's extensive range of rugs, throws and cushions, using soft textures and an earthy palette to create beautiful, calming spaces.

“I loved the concept of this shoot, “The Art of Layered Living Spaces”. As an interior designer, layering different textures with patterns is what creates a unique impact in a space - it evokes interest. Baya’s range is so perfect for this concept. - Cyndi, Head Interior Designer

Baya partnered with Australian retail and design studio Kira & Kira to style their collection, which was photographed at Kira House, the home of the studio’s founders, Simone and Grason Kira.

"Our vision is to offer a perfect fusion of style and substance, blending our distinct
New Zealand design, with the finest materials and craftsmanship,” says Baya Marketing Manager, Mason Feehan.

Offering a final touch to a space, soft furnishings can build a warm and welcoming sanctuary, fostering a sense of relaxation and rejuvenation at home. Every floor rug, cushion or throw in the Baya collection is curated to complement the changing seasons, allowing an interior to reflect the beauty of nature year-round.

As the weather shifts, so do the textures, colours, patterns, and materials that resonate with us. Layering pieces crafted from natural materials like wool, linen, and cotton allows us to seamlessly adapt our home aesthetic to reflect the evolving landscape outside.

The Vermont in Driftwood provided a perfect neutral base when paired with the travertine and oak coffee table and its border detail elegantly frames the room. The Flaxmill Pecan cushion and cinnamon throw brought warmth to the space, with the Sahara cushion standing out as the hero on the sofa. - Lulu, Interior Stylist

With nature serving as our inspiration, we’ve made an edit of Baya’s latest furnishings that explore the transformative role of natural textiles in the home.

Using the Sandringham Rug in Forrest as the anchor in this space, we introduced depth through earthy hues of greens, caramels and creamy whites. To bring warmth and comfort, we layered the Cyprian cushions and Millhouse throw, creating a beautiful and calming space. - Lulu, Interior Stylist

I love the depth of colour in Baya’s range, and as we were shifting into the depths of the winter season, I wanted to use their bold earthy tones in combination with their textured neutrals to create a warm cosy ambience throughout the entire house. Bold but inviting, like a punchy chai latte, spicy but so comforting.” - Cyndi, Head Interior Designer

Elevating the bedroom space into a sophisticated sanctuary, the Sandringham rug in ‘Pecan‘ from Baya is crafted from 100% wool, giving it a luxurious, dense pile and comfort.
